About this catalog
Coverage
Catalog includes 339 solar and lunar eclipses computed via the astronomy-engine library, derived from JPL ephemerides. Future eclipses are precise to the second; past eclipses to within seconds.
Map approximations
Visibility maps currently show greatest-eclipse point with a stylized region indicator. Real path-of-totality polylines (matching the precision of Xavier Jubier's catalog) require bundled Bessel-element-derived data and are a planned enhancement. Lunar eclipse maps show a global view since lunar eclipses are visible from any point on Earth's night side at peak.
